Last June, the South Korean company's acquisition of the famous Boston Dynamics, which specialises in the robotics industry, was officially finalised months after the deal was announced, which will finally allow the carmaker to officially enter the robotics industry as well.

South Korean carmaker Hyundai revealed for the first time the work of the famous Spot robot, renaming it Factory Safety Service Robot, and through its name, it becomes clear the general trend of using the robot in the company's factories, so that the Spot robot has become in the custody of the group's factories.


The robot can operate autonomously or can be controlled remotely by an employee of the group, as it is equipped with a LiDAR thermal camera. It is worth noting that Hyundai has officially finalised the acquisition of Boston Dynamics for an amount of up to 1.1 billion dollars, of which the South Korean company will get 80% of the shares, while the Japanese company SoftBank, the former owner of the majority of Boston Dynamics shares will get 20% of shares.
