"The next generation of battlefields during a global pandemic has created unexpected challenges for our development teams," said Oskar Gabrielson, CEO of game developer DICE on Twitter. Working hard at home, we feel it's important to take the time necessary to realize the vision of Battlefield 2042 for our players," and it was announced that the beta will be available in September.

And Electronic Arts had revealed back in June that Battlefield 2042 will be available on October 22 for Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X platforms, and the new game will include a number of features, including huge and highly detailed maps and the opening of a cross-platform gaming system. Internet that can accommodate up to 128 people on the same battlefield.

Shocking news for Battlefield 2042 fans

The news released last December referred to the World War III scenario, as leaks indicated that it was a war between North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) forces and Russian forces, but the situation would be more complicated, like the world described by Battlefield 2042. On the brink of chaos, with dozens of countries running out of food, energy and clean water, the planet is suffering from the largest refugee crisis on record, in this crisis, the United States and Russia are plunging the world into all-out war, and displaced professionals are joining both sides, fighting not for science, but for their future in this new world.

Electronic Arts says Battlefield 2042 will mark the emergence of the specialist role, a type of soldier never before seen in the series. Based on the traditional four chapters of Battlefield, players will have access to an arsenal of advanced weapons, equipment and vehicles. These powerful tools offer creative players a plethora of options to find the combination that best suits their play style and defeat their opponents.
