New information about the upcoming Galaxy S22 appears

The Galaxy Club website said that the base model of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S22 series of phones will soon have a much smaller battery than its predecessor, the Galaxy S21. This is clear from new information that the site's experts have been monitoring.

And the site noted that in recent weeks, it has already been discovered what kind of batteries Samsung will put in the Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Today, specific details about the power source of the smaller S22 can be shared. The device's battery - model code EB-BS901ABY, logically belonging to a phone with model number SM-S901 or Galaxy S22 - has a nominal capacity of 3590mAh. In comparison, the nominal capacity of the Galaxy S21 battery is 3,880mAh.

Galaxy Club added that since the Galaxy S21 has an advertised - typical - capacity of 4,000mAh, the Galaxy S22 will soon have a capacity of around 3,700mAh. Thus, the Galaxy S22 has a 7.5% smaller battery than the Galaxy S21. Of course, this fits in well with the overall picture. The site added: "We previously revealed that the Galaxy S22+ will have a 4500mAh battery. This is while the Galaxy S21+ still has a 4800mAh battery. Only the S22 Ultra remains at the same level as the Galaxy S21 Ultra of 5000mAh."
