Free computer screen recording software for Windows
Free computer screen recording software for Windows that allows you to select the GPU required for recording
This is the minimum screen recording software you can get. It can record the screen as well as the microphone audio and save the output as an MP4 file using the H.264 codec. It is probably the simplest open source recording tool you will ever use.The slight drawback is that it does not support webcam recording.

Getting started with ScreenRecorder is very simple. Get the installation file from GitHub, link below, and install it. Run it from the desktop icon created by the installation. A simple and limited user interface will appear.
You can now start the registration by clicking on the registration button. But before that, click on the gear icon to open the advanced options to configure some screen recording settings.
Go to the display drop-down menu and if you have multiple GPUs on your computer, choose one of them for your screen recording session.
Finally, you start the recording by clicking the record button. When finished, click the stop button to end your recording session. You can click on the little folder icon to find the recorded videos and then use them wherever you want. It's so easy.
This is how a computer screen is recorded. The program is simple and powerful on Windows. At the moment, Windows 10 is the only platform supported and for me it also worked perfectly on Windows 11. You can record as many screen recording sessions as you like. It works perfectly whether you choose a built-in graphics card or an external graphics card.
